Why peeing in the yard is a good idea.

Okay, so it's not a good idea for everyone.  However, I do think it's a good idea for little boys who are of potty training age. And I'm not suggesting kids go expose their derrieres in the front yard either, I'm talking about the privacy of the backyard. Though our 4 year old gave the neighbors a bit of a show a few weeks ago. I was talking with my mother-in-law in the driveway and turned to check on the kids. There he was peeing on our shrubs with his bottom facing the street as an elderly man was walking past our house. I think I know why our neighbors have never invited us over for a barbecue. 

Similar to his older brother, our 2 year old is a bit of a free spirit. Sitting on the toilet is too formal of a task for him. We have a pool and the kids are always outside in nothing but their undies at the slightest sign of warm weather. So we decided to take a new approach to potty training...

It's called "Yell at your 4 year old, 'Go teach your brother how to pee in the flower bed!'" 

This new method is working fabulously!

The boys think it's hilarious and our 2 year old is peeing on command every time.
